Vantage covers the business of entertainment, luxury, sports, music, and celebrity — with original analysis from someone who has worked inside these industries for over a decade.
Vantage is an independent digital news publication built on a simple premise: the business stories behind entertainment, luxury, and culture are more interesting than the entertainment itself. Who owns the rights. Who controls the distribution. Who gets paid and who doesn't. What the deal actually says. These are the questions Vantage was built to answer.
Every original editorial on Vantage is reported and written by Julius Young — not aggregated, not summarized from wire copy, not generated. The perspective comes from someone who has spent years covering these industries from the inside, and the analysis reflects that access.
Julius Young is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Vantage and the Editorial Lead at Julien's Auctions, the world's leading pop culture auction house, where he produces editorial content, auction detail pages, social media copy, and marketing materials across active sales.
Before founding Vantage, Julius worked as a field producer at TMZ, as an entertainment reporter for Fox News Digital and Fox Business, and as a staff writer at HollywoodLife. He has covered breaking entertainment news, celebrity legal matters, studio deals, and industry labor disputes across more than a decade of daily journalism. He has also served as an adjunct instructor at USC Annenberg, where he taught courses in media and entertainment reporting. Julius holds a degree in American Media & Popular Culture.
In addition to his journalism and editorial work, Julius records and releases music as the artist Raye Fontane.
Vantage publishes original reporting and analysis. Every editorial is fact-checked, sourced, and written with named data points — no anonymous speculation, no fabricated figures. When Vantage cites a dollar amount, a deal term, a market statistic, or a historical precedent, it is sourced. When something is the editorial view of Vantage, it is identified as such.
Vantage does not accept payment for editorial coverage. Brands, studios, labels, and agencies cannot purchase positive coverage on Vantage. Advertising relationships are handled entirely separately from editorial decisions. Vantage is operated by What's The Provenance? LLC DBA Vantage, Los Angeles, California.

Vantage covers entertainment business, streaming economics, Hollywood labor, music rights and ownership, luxury industry, sports business, celebrity brand deals, media antitrust, art markets, and the intersection of culture and capital. The common thread is the business model behind the cultural product — not the product itself.
