Louis Vuitton Has Been Building a Record Label for Three Years. Nobody Has Said So Out Loud.

Pharrell is producing albums inside LV's Paris headquarters. Future is a Friend of the House. Grammy-nominated tracks are premiering on runways. The infrastructure is there. The announcement hasn't happened yet.

Louis Vuitton has not announced a record label. It has done something more interesting: it has built one, show by show, season by season, without calling it that. At four consecutive Louis Vuitton runway shows, Pharrell Williams has debuted unreleased music — not as ambiance, but as the primary creative act. At the Fall-Winter 2026 show, recordings premiered included new material from A$AP Rocky, John Legend, Jackson Wang featuring Pusha T, and Quavo — all recorded and produced inside Louis Vuitton's Paris headquarters. Two songs from earlier shows are now nominated at the 2026 Grammy Awards: Clipse's "The Birds Don't Sing" and "Chains & Whips." The Clipse album Let God Sort Em Out lists the Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris as a primary recording studio. In December 2025, Louis Vuitton named Future a Friend of the House — the formal acknowledgment of a production relationship already operating inside the building. At the SS27 show in June 2026, Pharrell added Quavo, Lil Baby, and Angélique Kidjo to the list of artists debuting new material on the runway. The infrastructure exists — dedicated recording studios, Grammy-nominated output, independent distribution through Roc Nation. What LVMH has not done is formalize it, sign artists to the house, or collect recording royalties on the music being made inside its walls. The announcement, when it comes, will be a formality.
